  • Question

  • How do I change the Internet Password on XP?

    OK, I see that this is a potential security problem. I've got a t61 laptop running xp. I've changed the network pasword on the router so the xp ntwork password is no longer good. Please help,

    Renee

  • Saw your other post but ill post it here as well....

    -> open "Control Panel"

    -> "Network Connections"

    -> Right click "wireless network connection" (name can difer dependin on how it was originally configured)

    -> Click "view available wireless networks"

    -> click Advanced

    -> Click the "wireless networks" tab

    -> select the desired network (the one that is the Fios router)

    -> click remove

    -> click ok

    -> go back to "view available networks"

    -> select the FIos router network that you created

    -> click connect

    -> when prompted for a new password enter it and click "remember this network"

    -> click connect

    I hope I did this right.... Mostly from memory because I dont have an XP machine in frount of me at the moment.

  • Pavel,
