Error: Connection Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a Windows 2016 WSUS server that has been ok for many months, but recently when I log in I'm met with this error:

If I choose the Reset option nothing happens.  If I reboot all is ok again for a day or 2.

I think it can happen if I approve updates on many OUs.

I just the Adamj Clean PS script once a week too.

I need to investigate these event errors

    C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\MMC  deleting WSUS didn't help.

This may of helped, I used to have this set, maybe a CU changed it?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your information.

It seems we need to increase IIS Private Memory Limit. Follow this path to find the setting:
Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager → Application Pools → Select “WSUSPool” → Actions Advanced → Recycling → change "Private Memory Limit (KB)"

Another possible solution we can read:
Windows Server: WSUS Administration Console is Unable to Connect to WSUS Server via Remote API

    Best regards,

  • Hi,

    Or try the following methods:

IIS Manager -> Application Pool -> Right Click on WsusPool -> Advance Setting -> Recycling -> Private Memory Limit(KB) change to 0.

Mon opinion ne peut pas coïncider avec la position officielle de Microsoft.

    Bien cordialement, Andrei ...
