\windows\system32\winload.exe missing or corrupt RRS feed

  • I am trying to restore my Dell inspiron 1545 to factory settings and after it restarts it says it was unable to do anything because the file \windows\system32\winload.exe is missing or corrupt. it also says to put a cd in but i never recieved a cd with my laptop... all i want to do is restore my computer. i havent been using my laptop very long and apparently i have spyware on my computer. i dont have anything important on my computer so i figure a system restore would be the best route to go... please help i am going crazy googling and not finding any help. i am not a copmuter person so please explain so an average person would understand :p

    You can boot the computer off the Vista disc and perform startup repair the resolve the issue.
