SCCM 2012 - client waiting for content

    Question

  • I have SCCM 2012 installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server with SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU6.
When I deploy a package it shows up in the client Software Center, but never
starts to download.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • check datatransferservice.log as well for more information. you may also use BITSAdmin command to see exactly where download is getting stuck.

have you distributed package to distribution point before creating deployment.

  • Check the source files for the package.   Also check the datatransferservice.log like Prashant said.   I would also check the client logs and make sure it is looking at the correct DP.

    Thanks,

  • Hello!

Check your IIS role services : verify that windows authentication is installed.

    Hope this helps.
