The selection box of the desktop icons is not right. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody.

I have just moved from XP to 7 and I have found this.

I notice that the selection box of the desktop icons spans too much making impossible to click in the empty space between two icons.

In XP there is a selection box for the icon and another selection box for the text, making much easier to drag a select icons, because the empty space between icons is really empty.

With Windows 7, we have to click somewhere above the icon to find a empty space, which is sometimes difficult for someone who have the icons packed together.

So, is that why by default the icons are initially so sparse in 7, to hide that issue?
