MIM Portal Login RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi There,

Is there a way users can Login into the MIM Portal without being prompted for Credentials. In other words using the same session token for login into AD to access the MIM Portal.

  • Yes it should work that way.
In case user is logged in into the AD domain (same as used for the Portal) it should work. If it is asking for credential then you have to review portal configuration/security settings (kerberos)/ check if SPNs are registered ...etc

Like Borys Majewski said, it is probably missing or incorrect SPNs.  This reference is for FIM 2010 R2, but it should still apply directly to MIM 2016.  https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/33214.identity-manager-fimmim-planning-security-setup-for-accounts-groups-and-services-part-4-detailed-description.aspx
