  • Hi Raymundo,

Have you migrated your site template or did you recreate it from scratch in 2013?

From my experience, you'll probably have to recreate the project site templates after migrating to PS2013 and associate them again to the EPTs.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi Raymundo

    There could be several cause for this as the error says "The content type name _$Resources:ReportServerResources,DataSourceContentTypeName;_ cannot contain: \ / : * ? " # % < > { } | ~ & , two consecutive periods (..), or special characters such as a tab"

is there something in the template which might be referencing SSRS DS ?

In other cases typically COM exception happens when the system is not able to load DLL's it could be related to some of the components being used on the site template but while provisioning its not able to load the DLL for several reason either DLL's are missing or DLL's are being blocked (may be Antivirus or some other program)

Suggestion would be to start looking for any of those components and removing them and testing the template to narrow down which specific component is causing the problem

  • That's a good start!

Have you modified (delete, rename) any of the default columns from the out-of-the-box lists (risks, issues, delivrables)?

Have you activated the WSP solution in the soluytion galery?

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi All,

Just wanted to add my experience.

I came across with this issue and the reason was simple, is that I restored PWA DB and Content DB from an environment where SSRS was configured. The destination environment didn't have SSRS and while creating a site from a new template, hence this error. The new template was referring to content types which were not there. As I needed the SSRS, I went for installing the RS rather than deleting CTs.

Hope this clears the point for all.
