Which type of email account do you use in Outlook? Exchange, IMAP or POP3?
Which version of Outlook do you use? What is the specific build number of your Outlook? Did you install any update before this issue happened?
You may first try to start Outlook in safe mode and see whether this issue continues. To do this, press Win key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook /safe and press Enter.
