PsList - Show Owner User ID RRS feed

  • Question

    • pslist's remote option is most useful for servers which have problems and which I can't RDP into
    • however, in analyzing rogue processes, I don't see any option to find out which process belongs to which user
    • if serveral xyz processes run, this makes it impossible to target the correct one for, erm, corrective action via, e.g., pskill
    • Is there any possibility to show process owner user ids with pslist?

    Thanks,

    Christian

  • You can use Tasklist /v to get the username associated to a process..

    to get it remotely, use

    psexec \\servername -s -i cmd.exe

and when you have the remote cmd run

    tasklist /v

  • Hi Mario

I've added this to the PSLIST backlog as it seems like a useful feature but thanks for providing a workaround
