Approval Page giving an error. RRS feed

  • Hi All

    Just got a error here, the task approval page in PWA 2013, has got an error "An unknown error has occured" in red. and am not able to see anything. I have heard that this is a sharepoint web part page, so please can anyone suggest how to recover it back.

    Anything from ULS log?  Do you have large number of updates pending for approval? Is this issue machine or user specific?

    Check whether it is user specific error.

    Login and check the approval center with any other user. If you are not getting error from other user than check the below points:

    1.        Delete browser cache and check the approval center. OR
    2.        Remove and reassign user from the group, sometime this is coming because of view or permission.
    3.        If user is not having any project or task than you can remove and recreate the user in Project server.

    Checking ULS for errors.

    Meanwhile, to answer your question, yes we found that this is user specific problem. Only one user has this kind of approval page problem.

    we dont have an exact idea about the no. of updates but may be not more than 10.

    Avinash, I am now checking your points may be its going to be helpful. Will let you know, once we are finished up doing this.

  • Hi Manish,

    We have got this problem in our environment, Turns out the same email address was assigned to two different users in the resources. This normally happens when a test user is created and same email id of the user is provided.
