List Look up Column displaying Tasks within a particular site.

  Hello,

  When you use the Lookup column, it will display the information about the lists from where you want to display information. So when you create a new lookup column select your "Tasks" list and display the appropriate field from that list.

  Thank you, but that's just it.

  I am not looking for a "Column" in a specific task list.

  I want to lookup the descriptions of a list of tasks.

  Hi jmcpsd,

  Based on my research, SharePoint Lookup field doesn't support Multiple lines of text type column(e.g. Task description field ).

  As a workaround, you can change the Task list Descriptions field as Single line of text.
