When I was testing, the email went through successfully when resending.
Incase I've missed something, I'd like to clarify the following questions:
By "the group mailbox", do you mean a shared mailbox on which a group of users have full access permissions?

How did the group members add the group mailbox as an additional email account? Did they do it via File > Add Account in Outlook?

What message did the user try to resend? Is it a received email in the Inbox or subfolder or is it a sent mail in the Sent Items folder?

Could you provide a screenshot of the error message? Is it a pop-up error message or a NDR notification?
