Server 2012 / Exchange 2016 - Native Backup

    Question

  • I have Exchange 2016 running on MS Server 2012 R2.  If I run a full backup of the server using the native windows backup, does it bring down Exchange while the backup is running?

  • Hi Oscar,

Agree with Ed. So it is usually recommended to run backup during non-business hours ( at night or a small number of users online ).
