Restrict the email delivery for user after disable the account for both internal and external emails

    Question

  • We are planning once we disable the user account and we would like to stop all the incoming emails for that users for both internal and external emails. And also we don't want to have NDR for that restriction.

Can you confirm can it be achieved in exchange 2013 server?

Create a transport rule that drops any message sent to that SMTP address. Not giving a NDR is not really recommended however.

  • Hi,

Agree with Andy, it can be achieved by Exchange server 2013 the rule should be if the message is send to the account and delete(without notification)/redirect the message.

    Hope it helps.
