OLAP Database Management in Project Server 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is anyone else having fun with locating OLAP Database Management in Project Server 2013?

I can appreciate the rationale in simplifying the "Server Settings" interface and moving certain less regularly used features but feel that excluding OLAP Database Management from this page is a retrograde step.

In 2010 if an Admin created a new custom field it was relatively easy to then add that field to the OLAP Cube Configuration as access was from the same "Server Settings" console.

In 2013 the process is a bit more convoluted and if using Hosted instances it can be off limits to Project Server Administrators.

I would also like to see Administrative Backup and Administrative Restore included in "Queue and Database Administration"
