No Audio device Installed --- Windows 7 ultimate RRS feed

  • good day..

    i've got an Acer desktop and i upgrade my windows from xp to windows 7 but the bad news is from the audio.

    it says here that"no audio device installed" . I check the device manager and it was pretty fine.

    I tried also several times to download a realtek but it doesnt work..

    can i ask.. what is the compatible for...

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP1

    SYSTEM MODEL : V5600GT Intesa

    SYSTEM TYPE : x64 base

    PROCESSOR : AMD Athlon (tm) 64 Processor 2800+ , 1800 Mhz, 1 Core , 1 Logical Processor

    Please.. need some help here..

  • It is always advisable to use the Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your sound card is compatible. If you cannot get drivers to work for your sound card, you could (if you have a slot available) just grab a cheap replacement for Amazon.

  • There are no Windows 7 drivers for your Conexant AC-Link Audio that is installed in your Acer system.  This subject comes up periodically in these forums and it's always the same answer.  Conexant is no longer in business and no writes the drivers for an obsolete audio chip.  If you wish more information, contact Acer technical support.
