I cannot install Flight SimulatorX into windows 10 fault 1628 on installshield wizard RRS feed

  • I am trying to install Flight Simulator X into windows 10 but I keep getting installshield wizard stopping on fault 1628. I am running the latest edition of windows 10. Can you help

  • Is this one of the original disc releases? Thinking that are old now and may not work on Windows 10.

    Installshield 1628 error as user put;

    "I found that renaming the following folder

    C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information

    to 

    C:\Program Files (x86)\InstallShield Installation Information.old

    fixed the issue for me."

    So give that a try.

    Error - 1628: failed to complete installation. This error occurs when the InstallShield application is corrupted or is damaged. To resolve this problem, try the following methods in the order in which they are presented and the link below provides detailed information about it.

    Method 1: Rename the InstallShield folder

    Method 2: Download and install the latest Windows Installer package

    Method 3: Locate and then close the files

    Method 4: Create a new user account
