Sharepoint 2007 Content Database Migrated to 2010 how to fix errors RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi I am new to SharePoint Technology.
I did manage to upgrade my existing 2007 content db to 2010 using SharePoint Management Shell command prompt.
It did finish with errors: Following are all errors and warnings but I am not sure how I can fix it or where to look for. Please I need some directions even fixing 1-2 errors as most errors and warnings are similar.

  • There are several different errors in this log.

    [ERROR] [5/30/2012 12:09:24 PM]: Found 2 web(s) using missing web template 75809 (lcid: 1033) in ContentDatabase Wss_Content_2007.

The new 2010 farm is missing a web template used by the original 2007 farm. If this template was deployed as part of a solution, ensure that the solution exists in the new farm.

[ERROR] [5/30/2012 12:09:24 PM]: The site definitions with Id 75809 is referenced in the database [Wss_Content_2007], but is not installed on the current farm. The missing site definition may cause upgrade to fail. Please install any solution which contains the site definition and restart upgrade if necessary.

Same thing, though instead of a web template a site definition (site collection template) is missing. Ensure this template is deployed in the new farm.

    [ERROR] [5/30/2012 12:09:24 PM]: Found a missing feature Id = [28d3dcf2-409f-4653-8a69-1f0ce0819e1f]

A feature is missing. The solution is likely not deployed. The feature GUID may be part of a webpart called ReturnOfSmartPart, but I'm not sure.

[ERROR] [5/30/2012 12:09:27 PM]: Database [Wss_Content_2007] contains a site (Id = [99828ab5-c0ff-4d13-9249-184c64c47d7b], Url = [/]) that is not found in the site map. Consider detach and reattach the database.

There is an orphaned site, it may be possible to resolve this issue by detaching the database from the farm and reattaching. See Attach or detach content databases (SharePoint Server 2010). It looks like there are several warnings about this as well.

    [ERROR] [5/30/2012 1:14:20 PM]: Action 14.0.1.0 of Microsoft.Office.Server.WebAnalytics.Upgrade.WebAnalyticsSiteSequence failed.
[STSADM] [WebAnalyticsSiteSequence] [ERROR] [5/30/2012 1:14:20 PM]:    at Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPElementDefinitionCollection.ProvisionModules(SPFeaturePropertyCollection props, SPSite site, SPWeb web, Boolean fForce) ...

Not sure specifically what is wrong here, but it sounds like there is a problem with the Web Analytics service.

  • "The site definitions with Id 75809 is referenced in the database"

and how You resolved? Seems to be 'ReservationEquipment' template or something.. (xml with this number could be found in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\TEMPLATE\1033\XML" ), but reinstall it does not help
