Batch Scripting and invoking a .bat script using forward slashes (/) rather than back slashes (\) RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have invoked a .bat batch script and now an Execute Process Task in SQL Server Integration Services that forces us to use forward slashes (/) in our file path designations rather than back slashes (\) and have no idea why. We are calling an executable .exe and providing parameter arguments that specify the input and output files and again even those are requiring forward slashes to designate the full qualified path names.

And I don't know where best to post this. I thought about Powershell but wasn't sure.

Any help with logistics on this question and possibly getting an answer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
