    i have a a customer who for whatever reason reformated her hard drive to ndfs thus deleting her OS in the process.  now i have thte task of determing the flavor of vista to install . so my question to you is is ther any way of physicly identifing if the computer is  64 bit or 32?

    Hello,

     

    You can contact the chip or motherboard manufacturer directly to confirm whether the device supports the 64bit or you might tell the exact model here for the further research. However, please understand no matter whether the device is 32bit or 64bit, you can install Windows Vista 32bit OS on the computer. Thanks for your time and understanding!
