Sound Taxi program can interfere with the VUA running properly. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • After trying many times to run the VUA, it jusy kept running and running for hours with no results in sight. I tried the other solutions mentioned in the posts about deleting the VUA files in Local Settings temp folder. This did not help. It turns out that I was using this program called Sound Taxi which is something that takes purchased music files and rips them to a new folder into the format of your choice while removing the protection from the music file. For some reason, this program causes the VUA to never finish. After uninstalling Sound Taxi and rebooting , which the uninstall forces you to do, I ran VUA again and it finished in about 5 minutes. So the problem with the VUA could be from another program that one has installed on their system.
