Windows 2016 - One Way Trust Relationship easiest authentication? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 2 domains. Each with one forest and one DC.

What I need to do and what I have done, is create a one-way trust relationship between the domains. This is an external non-transient trust relationship between Domain A and Domain B.

What happens is that Domain A users can log into any environment within Domain B. What I don't like is that I have to jump several hopes for a single user to log into that Domain.

Domain A user wants to log into a Domain B Server. For that to happen I've had to edit the security for the Domain B Server to allow for that Domain A user to authenticate for remote connections. I then need to add that Domain A user into the Remote Desktop Users group and the Administrators/DomainUsers groups.

Is there an easier way? I'm looking at around 40 users that need access to the Domain B environments. It just seems really inefficient to me.
