Cancelling print jobs RRS feed

    There are times when I cancel a print job halfway through and while the Printer dialogue box says it is deleting, nothing happens. I reboot the computer and the printer but it is still there. Obviously it is in a memory somewhere and needs to be cleared. This happens with both my Lexmark & HP printers. I cannot print until it is cleared.

    I’m sorry to respond delay due to the weekend.

     

    For this issue, please try the following steps to confirm whether it’s caused by spooler issue:

     

    1.    When the problem occurs, end the spooler.

    Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Input the command net stop spooler, press Enter.

    2.    Try to clear the printing job again. If it does, enable spooler again by the method below:

    Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator. Input the command net start spooler, press Enter.

    If the problem is caused by spooler, please make sure whether the printers are using the latest drivers designed for Windows Vista.

     

    Please let me know the result and the models of involved printers also.
