Plugging in Card Reader causes Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there

I am pretty troubled over the fact that both my Windows XP and Windows Vista installs have this issue. Whenever i plug in any card reader in my system, it would pop up with this message about four to five times (since theres four slots, so a couple times per slot).

    The specific error message is

    ---------------------------
    Windows - No Disk
    ---------------------------
    Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x75CF023C 0x84655DF4 0x75CF023C 0x75CF023C
    ---------------------------
    Cancel   Try Again   Continue
    ---------------------------

Is there any fixes or anything that may provoke this?

  • I had this problem with a card and the problem had to do with the drive letter it was assigned. Click start, type in computer management and open disk management, then right click on the problem drive and click Change Drive Letter and Paths. Assign the drive some other letter, and hit ok. This should get rid of the exception error.
