Username and password saving RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is is possible to configure the UAG to not allow saved credentials in a web browser?

For example, when you log onto a website you can sometimes save the user name and PW in the browser config.

Would like to know whether there is any setting in UAG that will disable the Auto Config option in all support browser?

  • Well if you really wanted to for the applications you publish through UAG do an APPWRAP search and replace on the forms in the pages and set autocomplete="off" for them. This should stop 'most' browsers saving and auto completing the boxes, but that's only for the supported browsers, it works in IE and Firefox. Ged

  • By the way, the initial UAG portal login has this autocomplete="off" set its own the login form, so users should not be able to save their passwords on that page.

Keep in mind that after you athenticate aginst the uag portal, Single-Sign-On to the applications uag is publishing is one of the big feature advantages.  Users can have the username and passwords submitted for them by uag, so they would never see the login form anyway.
