Seriously memory leak in Windows 7 x64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys! Yesterday I found seriously memory leak. On proposed video I'm using Windows 7 x64 SP1 after full reinstall. Leak beginning around 2-3 weeks ago (probably earlier) and I think it due with recently updates (I say about KBxxxxxxx). Because earlier I do not have memory leak.

Link to small screencast youtu.be/N_HgiiCWwKQ (~2m30s)

    Is anybody knows what happening?

  • You don't have any issues. This is by design. Windows keeps the data in the standby list (dark blue) after copying.

    MS explains the data here:

  • I try it in Safe Mode and get same behavior..

And I can not be rolled back for updates installed. Because disabled restore points so recklessly .. Just reinstall again. If anyone would be able to try to repeat my steps, I would be very grateful for a response to my question. Do I have one such problem? Thank you.

  • Thank you very much.. I'm read this book and find good utitlity RAMMap. Using this utilites I can clear Standby Memory manually.

Is interesting whether it is possible to automate this process?

  • I almost forgot to say that when free memory is low (~ 0), when the active use of AERO effects I see a pop-up window with a message about lack of memory ... All the same it is strange ...
