Why do Timesheet Actual values change? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings!

This is on Project Server 2010, with the June 2011 CU installed.

I have Single Entry Mode enabled, and "Only Allow Task Updates via tasks and Timesheets", and I have hidden the tasks page.

My issue is that the values entered in the timesheet keep changing. Is there any way to stop this behaviour?

It's happening to many of my users, and just as an example, I entered 3 hours in a task on Sunday, and 3 hours on Monday, click on Save, it changes to 1 hour on each day. Change it to 0 on Sunday, and 8 on Monday, click save, and now it's 8 only on Sunday.

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Mike Scott

  • One addition: Update a test environment first, to see changes and perform appropriate training. And have a look at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh694531.aspx for more information.

Seriously, I have seen the same in the past. With recent updates, changing actuals are gone. Unfortunately user will need to correct their hours manually, this won't be corrected by patch.

    Good luck
