iis setup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I tried running a script to move the inetpub directory to another drive. It did not work so I tried to follow the instructions to reverse the procedure. I have removed the iisrole & re-added it, but as soon as I try and copy in the code from a website running on another server I get the 500 error. I went to the site in iis, but when I double clicked on the asp icon to set up sending messages to the browser I get "There was an error performing this operation" "Filename \\?C:\inetpub\test\web.config"

Can anyone help me undo the damage?

  • Hi

Yes it is sorted thank you. I did not realise URLRewrite had not been installed on this computer & there was a reference to it in the web config.
