What is the procedure to upgrade from Windows Vista Home premium to Windows 7 Home or Ultimate RRS feed

  • Question

  • I ran the windows 7 advisor and it says everything is a go, but how do I proceed from here? Do I need a cd or is there a free download available from Microsoft?

  • Hi,

The upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

If you need to install or reinstall Windows 7 you can use this page to download a disc image (ISO file) to create your own installation media using either a USB flash drive or a DVD.

Download Windows 7 Disc Images (ISO Files)

In addition, since Microsoft Store will no longer sell the Windows 7 product key, I’m afraid your best bet is connecting retailers for further help.

    Best Regards,
