change initial setup of outlook 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Recently started outlook 2010 for first time.  I was using a different app for email.  I set it up as an exchange server and tried to set it up but realized I needed an IMAP or POP setup.  I can't get into outlook to change it because the exchange server setup never successfully completed.  How do I start over?

  • Hi,

We can follow the steps below to fix the issue:

    1. Open the Windows Control Panel, find and click Mail (32-bit).

    2. In the opened Mail Setup dialog, click Show Profiles button.

    3. Then, you should see an entry named "Outlook" under the "The following profiles are set up on this computer:" heading.

    4. Highlight "Outlook" and click Remove button.

    5. Click OK button.

    6. Restart Outlook to see the result.
