Uninstallation order of Language packs RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    We are planning to uninstall the Language packs in our SharePoint servers. For that we want to know whether any installation order is needed to be followed like below or no need ?

    1. Uninstall the SP 1 of Language Pack X( French) of SharePoint Server

    2. Uninstall the French Language pack of SharePoint server

    3. Uninstall the SP1 of Language pack X of SharePoint foundation

    4. Uninstall the X Language Pack of SharePoint foundation.

    Please provide your input.

  • Hi Steve,

    Have you checked the article i have provided.

    Uninstalling using Control Panel

    i)                    Navigate to Control Panel -> Uninstall a Program

    ii)                   Select the Language pack and uninstall it.

    iii)                 Repeat these steps for all the servers.

    You want to uninstall SP1?

  • Hi,

    Un-Installation of one or more language pack on SharePoint farm is not a straight forward step. Though it might seem simple, if the sequence is not followed you might end up corrupting your SP Database.

    The above you mentioned sequence doesn't matter.

    One more clarification. How can we uninstall the SP1.

    I cant see any option for uninstall in the Control Panel
