I have three sites in SCOM 2012 R2 :
Development
Manufacturing
Development of two
The management server sitting in manufacturing -When installed the servers gatewey I defined names to sitecode
For the production did not define whether it can be added to the management server sitecode?

Be careful with deleting gateways with agents behind them, especially if you are using sites:
The safer way would be to add another gateway that is configured as you want and then move the agents to the new gateway.
