Client Certificate: None & Deployment Issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm having issues with a lot of my clients showing as 'Client Certificate: None.'  When this happens, Deployments will not run on these clients.  The weird thing is that on some of these machines I've deployed software to them weeks prior and then it starts having this issue out of nowhere.  From my calculation, I have a few 100 clients that are acting this way.  The majority of them show up in the console as having a client installed and as active.

I also have an issue of Clients being half-installed after OSD and I'm wondering if this is related to this or not.

Client Communication is setup as HTTP or HTTPS, and we are not utilizing PKI Certs so it would be Self-Signed.

    Any ideas?  Thanks!

  • Are these clients showing in the console as Approved = Yes?

Yes, they are approved.  Client shows Installed and Active.

  • I had a similar issue. I found out the problem was an application. Have you tried disabling your packages and see if the certificate shows as signed.

I am aware it is a tedious process if you have many applications in your task sequence, but in the end it saved me more time down the road.
