Auto Attendant / Exchange 2013 server selection RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking to understand the selection of the exchange mailbox server that handles auto attendant operation. Assume two sites:

Site A has a lync server plus an exchange cas and an exchange mailbox server.

Site B has an exchange mailbox server.

When the lync server contacts the exchange cas to route the auto attendant call, the cas is always directing the call to the site B Exchange mailbox server.

Unlike regular user mailboxes, I can see no way to assign the auto attendant to a specific server or a way to set some sort of priority of the mailbox servers. How do you redirect such calls to the site A exchange mailbox server?

  • FYI/Update: I found that the selected server is the one hosting the arbitration mailboxes.
