Branch distribution point migration

Hi,

I will be migrating from 2007 - 2012 in the coming months. I Just want to know what happens to my Branch distribution points? (not branch cache)

will they be converted into SCCM 2012 distributuion points or will they become branch cache distribution points?

it depends on the OS they are running now, they should migrate if they are running on windows 7 already
