Prevent Sending IRM protected mail as attachment. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have below infrastructure deployed in my environment.

      • Windows Server 2008 R2 AD RMS server.
      • SQL 2008 server Cluster is used as database.
      • Exchange 2010

I have two queries regarding email IRM protection:

      1. Is there any way to prevent Sending IRM protected mail as attachment?
      2. If we want to give permission to only the recipient who is in the mail, what option do we have during Template Creation?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Best Regards,

    Shamim

  • Hi Shamim,

1st question: I do not get your question? Is this about the rpmsg attachment?

2nd question: With Outlook you can only use the do not forward template (not a real template, it exist only in Outlook) or templates from the RMS server. On a template you have to configure a user or group how can read the emails. So this really only work if you configure  allemployees@corp.com or similar. Glueck Kanja has a solution to overcome these limitations http://glueckkanja.com/solutions/security/rms-protection-add-in-outlook
