Find applicable management packs

Question
-
Hi,
Running SCOM 2016 1801 and Citrix Storefront 7.1
An SCOM alert states
Citrix MPSF Agent Service operational status
AgentOperational False Error No credentials found for probing storeFront store service.
The SCOM management pack for Citrix is installed and the profiles are created. I have more StoreFront servers in my AD domein and they are visible in the monitoring --> Citrix StoreFront --> Servers --> Server state
Question
* How does a server get recognized as a storefront server by SCOM? I don't have a target group.

A management pack when imported runs workflows on all servers known as "discoveries" which identifies the presence of a particular application using the best suited method (such as registry keys, WMI, or scripted discoveries, etc)
If the particular discovery returns the data it's looking for, it lists that as an "object" of the class it is discovering (Citrix Storefornt in your particular case).
Hope that helps
Cheers

Hi,
You can check the documentation of the Citrix management packs here:
https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/scom-management-packs/storefront.html
If you select one and then open the Reference Guide (HTML) and then search for Discoveries, you will find the rules that does the discovery in SCOM.
You can then search for the StoreFront Server Computer Role Discovery in the Auditing tab of the SCOM console, then expand the Management Pack Objects and go to Object Discoveries.
Once you have found it, you can open it and check the Configuration what it does.Best regards,
