    In the RTM version of SCOM 2012 SP1 is it
    possible to import mibs?  I don't use Cisco gear, but use Extreme Networks. 
    When I did a discovery on one of my switches it discovered it and said it was
    certified, but in the snmp data it returned the wrong model.

    Also I would
    have thought on the ports that it monitored it would have enabled the active
    ones by default, but it only enabled a couple of them.

    I'm currently
    using both Foglight NMS and Cacti to monitor interfaces and would like to get
    SCOM doing it for me.

    Also when I look at my discovery rule it still has
    a state of pending and wondering if that is normal and under Network Devices
    there is nothing listed.

    Hi Greg

    1) No. You can not Import MIBs

    2) If you want to Monitor more ports on your device you Need to add it to the Critical Network Adapters Group

    Critical Network Adapters Group

    This group can be updated through the Operations Manager console under authoring.  You can add any of the interfaces to this group and the monitoring will be enabled.  If the interface connected to your web server isn’t monitored then adding the interface to this group will give you alerts on problems with the interface connected to the web Server.

    3) If you have scheduled your Network discovery it will stay in "pending". If you had selected Manual discovery it would stay 2Idle"
