  • Question

  • I have loaded Windows Server 2012 on my server and when I try to activate it I am getting the below

no Key Management Service (KMS) and the error code is 0xc004f074

I would like to change the key that is in there now to a new one but it would not allow me to.

Can some one tell me how to fix this error

Answers

  • You can execute: SLUI 3
This will allow you to enter/change the Windows product key

If you want to display the current licensing status, execute:

    SLMGR.VBS /DLV

This will display an information window (you can press CTRL+C, to copy the info into the clipboard)
