MDT 8443, Windows 10 1607 and language packs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our Windows 10 base image is english version but for certain situations we need to install a language pack and change the default windows UI language to something else. I also need to prevent the language pack from localizing some system settings (eg. Local Administrator account name should always stay in english). What vould be the best way to handle this? I don't want to add all those language packs directly to our base wim. I want to install language pack on the fly and apply it so it changes the OS language. Any ideas how to accomplish this?

Answers

  • You can either install them in the reference image(will bloat the size) which will then be able to select the language from the MDT menu or MDT has a native way of importing LPs.. Please go here.. One advantage of having it in the reference image is speed since its already installed!
