The license for my installation of TP4 appears to have expired today. I don't want to upgrade to TP5 at this time, is there any way to extend the license for TP4?Saturday, July 16, 2016 11:13 AM

Hi,
Thank you for posting your question to the forums.
There is an issue with TP4, where the expiration date was set incorrectly, and there are two patches for TP4 to prevent this from happening.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3163018
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3149135If the patches are installed then run the following commands and reboot the system.
slmgr /rilc

Hi,
Windows server 2016 TP 4 expires October 15, 2016. Based on my technology, there is no official document which has described the way of extending the expire date.
I would recommend you to consider of WS 2016 TP5.

I know it expires in October, but for this install the license has already expired, so it seems to have expired early and I am not able to extend it.Monday, July 18, 2016 8:42 AM

Hi,
Microsoft Download Center has “Windows Server Technical Preview and Hyper-V Server Technical Preview Expiration Extension”:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=46447
However, as described, this download allows you to continue using the Windows Server Technical Preview and Hyper-V Server Technical Preview from October 2014 without interruption until the next preview is available in May 2015. And there is no other extension which has been released later.
As newly version TP5 has been released, you may consider of using this version:

So, I have a DC deployed and running on Windows Server 2016 TP 4. I'd rather not have to rebuild the entire server from scratch. Is there a way to upgrade this server to Windows Server 2016 RTM or TP 5 without doing a complete rebuild?
Thanks.
