hi

I am installing WSUS 3.0 SP2 on windows server 2008 R2,and my network is not connected to outside world.
When trying to install wsus i am getting error IIS or Additional IIS Role services must be installed.

On Server Roles page, i have selected Application Server and Web Server (IIS).

For IIS roles i have selected ASP.NET, Windows Authentication, Dynamic Content Compression, and IIS 6 Management Compatibility.
Am i missing anything else.

Application Server is not required.

For IIS roles i have selected ASP.NET, Windows Authentication, Dynamic Content Compression, and IIS 6 Management Compatibility.

The requirements for installing WSUS are documented in the Deployment Guide. Have you checked there?

Configure Internet Information Services

And what you'll find there is this section:

The following IIS services must be installed and running for WSUS to work:

HTTP Static Content
ASP.NET
Windows authentication
Dynamic content compression
IIS Metabase Compatibility
