Issues with DPM 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

    Hopefully someone can answer me this.

    We are load balancing our two DPM 2012 servers, and have come across a small issue when transfering the protection of file servers from one DPM server to another.

    When trying to move the protection of one of the file servers the following occurs:

    the server has two volumes - C: and E:

    When moving to the second DPM server both volumes are listed as D: drive, this is after the Switch Protection option is chosen.  I have tried to uninstall the protection agent from the PS and re-install it from the second DPM server, but it still happens.

    Any help in trying to figure out what is happening would be appreciated.

  • Hi

    See what this DPM power shell Inquiry command returns for the server in question.

    PS C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\bin> $ps = Get-ProductionServer -DPMServerName  DPM_SVR_NAME  | where { $_.NetBiosName -eq "protected_server_name" }
    PS C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\bin> Get-Datasource -ProductionServer $ps -Inquire
