APP V 5 How to add arguments to shortcut RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I need to pass arguments to a shortcut. I added the arguments between the arguments tags for that shortcut in the user configuration xml and applied it through powershell using "Publish-AppVClientPackage $pkg –DynamicUserConfigurationPath c:\Packages\Contoso\config.xml ", this worked for the logged in user. Then I did the same for the Deployment configuration xml using the "Add-AppVClientPackage –Path c:\Packages\Contoso\MyApp.appv -DynamicDeploymentConfiguration c:\Packages\Contoso\DynamicConfigurations\deploymentconfig.xml" command. and this worked for the machine on which the powershell cmdlet was run. How can I make it work for all the users who use the package? Can I pass arguments using the Edit shortcut on the management console?

    Thanks for any help.

  • I got the solution. I used the "Import and overwrite this configuration" option and selected the edited deployment configuration xml and it worked for me. __http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj713435.aspx
