  • Increase the diagnostic logging for MSExchangeTransport Server to 7 and run ExBPA, then reproduce the issue &  share the relevant event logs, ExBPA result.

Download the ExBPA from the link below, install it and simply perform the heath test

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=dbab201f-4bee-4943-ac22-e2ddbd258df3&displaylang=en

To increase the diagnostic logging, use the link below

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997825(EXCHG.65).aspx

I would recommend testing this with other domains (like GMAIL or Hotmail) to see if it is the same behaviour as for Yahoo.

  • Hello.

    mail.ukl.yahoo.com - you mail server?

Why did you decide that the problem is in the amount of messages?

  • hi,

what is your exchange server limits?

for example if you give 10 MB message limit for your exchange you can send 7 mb size messages. because about %30 size addition to your message will be done. so if you want to send 9 mb message you can set 13 mb size limits on your exchange server.

    regards,

    Pushkal,

    Here is the result...

    A non-delivery report with a status code of 5.2.3 was generated for recipient rfc822;fcortes@grupoacon.com (Message-ID <SNT127-W59EFE5E81E75327A3F735CD37C0@phx.gbl>).

Cause: The message size was large or the local quota exceeded. For example, remote Exchange user might have delivery restrictions set with maximum incoming message size.

Solution: Check access permissions as well as the message size.

  • First make sure that you've checked all the possible places for message size restriction like (Global settings,System Policy ,Individual mailbox ,Individual message limit, Distribution list ,Public folder ,Connector ,Virtual SMTP Server)

Which server has generated the NDR...is it yours or external?

Also is this happening for all the users?

    Thursday, June 2, 2011 5:11 PM
  • My server is generating the NDR.. and yes is this happening for all users...

    Regards,

  • Ok !!

See the reason for NDR code 5.2.2 & 5.2.3 in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124840(EXCHG.65).aspx

Somewhere some size restriction is lingering......When did you experience this issue first...was there any recent change ???

  • Nobody told me before, "I need to receive an attachment of 9 MB", so I never experienced this problem, but the weird was, that mails of 3 MB neither arrived or do take long time to reach the destiny...

So because of that I started to check and make tests.
