Why cannot I create a view with a built in filter, yet the same filter can be applied as a "Custom Filter"? RRS feed

  • I am attempting to create a view for our executives to focus on a certain subset of projects.  I go to "Server Settings", "Manage Views" and select the fields I want displayed, then build a filter that permits the correct subset of data (based upon "Project Status").  When I switch to this view in "Project Center" the view fails, and I get a blank subset and a notification that "An Unknown Error has Occurred"...  When I remove the filter information from the view and resave it, it works.  When I create a "Custom Filter" with the same logic, it works fine.

    How do I know if this is a configuration error—or an intrinsic bug in the application; if the latter, when can it be fixed?
