  • Question

  • I have done a clean install of windows 7 beta, i have founf\d that when i go to the games folder in the start menu and try to open a game, i get a message that there isn't any program associated with it.  "I>E" clicking on the solitaire icon, the game doesn't come up.

  • OK- first, you didn't say which one you're using: 32 or 64 bit.
     I'm using 32, and all the games work fine. Look at the Microsoft Games folder in Program Files. Are there game folders in there? Solitaire is 792 KB.  
    If you're running 32, you may have to reinstall if the files aren't there.

  • Try to create new shortcuts for the games and see if that works. I had a few probs with installed games. Clicking on the shortcut said that the path was incorrect/could not be found. I created the new shortcuts and replaced the ones that were in the Games folder. All is well.

  • im running win 7 x64 and the games installed fine on my machine, even though i dont use them, i just tried the solitaire since thats the one you mentioned and it opened fine.
