Email Address tab in AD Users and computers user properties missing RRS feed

  • We noticed some missing ‘E-mail address’ tab issues with few user accounts recently created.

     

    We have created above mailboxes couple of days back and this was working perfectly fine till yesterday. But then when i tried to email the user, the email rebounds. And when i checked Active Directory Users and Computers user properties, the "Email Address" tab was missing.

     

    We resolved this issue by adding the missing mailbox Alias for the user under exchange general tab. 

     

    Please can some one help me with this?

  • Thanks for the reply.

    No one else is deleting this alias name. We had this issue for some newly created user accounts(Not all). And after re assigning the alias, the issue seems to be fixed.

    If you assigned an "e-mail" address to the user before the Recipient
    Update Service processed the user it wouldn't have assigned any
    Exchange attributes to the user.

    Please make sure no one accidently delete the Alias under Exchange General tab first...
