Can Forefront Identity Manager R2 use SQL Server 2012? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can FIM R2 use SQL Server 2012 R2 (Enterprise)?

Do you have to put it in compatibility mode with 2008?

  • As far as I know there are no official statements from Microsoft saying that this is a supported scenario, so untill you get that, I'd definitely go with SQL 2008/R2.

  • FYI -- support for SQL 2012 was added with FIM R2 SP1 build 4.1.3114.0 on 2013-01-13. Obviously Soren's statement was correct at that time.

MIM added support for SQL 2014 SP1
