Is there an upgrade license available for Exchange 2010 Standard to Enterprise (not CALs, Server)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • If you purchase and use Exchange 2010 Standard and later need to upgrade to more than 5 databases, is there an upgrade license that will convert your Standard to Enterprise or do you have to buy a new Exchange Enterprise license at full cost and then be left with an extra Standard license that was wasted money if you don't have any use for the Exchange Standard server license?

I looked for Exchange licensing online and can't find anything that looks like version "upgrade" pricing.

    Hi MyGposts,

    I guess so.

However, I suggest you call to a Microsoft representative directly.

In the United States, call (800) 426-9400 to speak to a Microsoft representative.

    In Canada, call (877) 568-2495.
